Welcome
EAST HERTS RAMBLERS

East Herts Ramblers is a friendly, inclusive community committed to exploring Hertfordshire’s footpaths, wildlife, and landscapes in a way that protects and celebrates the natural environment. Our walks promote wellbeing, friendship, and a deeper connection with nature, encouraging responsible, low-impact enjoyment of the outdoors and often finishing with time together in a local tearoom or pub. Beyond our local routes, we take short walking breaks and adventures further afield, creating lasting memories and stories.
Together we walk, discover and belong

Footpath Wardens
We are trying to recruit volunteers to become local Footpath Wardens. East Herts District has quite a large number of vacant parishes: Albury, Anstey, Bayford, Bishop's Stortford, Brickendon Liberty, Buckland & Chipping, Eastwick & Gilston, Great Munden, High Wych, Hunsdon, Little Berkhamsted, Little Munden, Sawbridgeworth, Standon, Thorley, Walkern, Widford, Wyddial.
The role involves walking the local footpaths and reporting any problems (damaged or broken footbridges, gates, fallen waymarks, overgrown paths, fallen trees, etc) on the Herts CC website. Help and information can be provided for anyone interested. I know a number of East Herts Ramblers members already fulfil this role.
If anyone is interested please contact me.
Many thanks
Kind regards
